Limitless

So, I have a job interview lined up today with a furniture place downtown called Limitless. I had initially applied to work sales but now they've asked me to bring in my portfolio. I find this a little odd as my website is on my resume, presumably they looked at that. Further assumptions would lead me to believe they noticed I don't have any product design on my website.

As a result of this I tossed this together to take with me. I'm rather interested to see where this goes.

The other thing to mention is that aside from the upcoming Automated Regrowth show in March I will also be participating in a group show at Steamwhistle.

Progress

Well, Here we have some process sketches for the show upcoming in March. I've been playing with the idea of doing most of these in Metal but I think ultimatly its a better idea to keep developing the digital collage work. And its more fun in the end. The metal show, while an interesting change of pace is a really bizarre and dangerous studio.

Hopefully there will be some colour progress soon. We've almost hit February after all, but there are about ten different things I want to develop and work on. Tricky to decide where to begin these days.

Metal Illustration

Figured I would post some WIP stuff. Im working on something new here with some nice 20 gauge steel. I've melted/cut in my lineart and I intend to prime it up and do some painting on top. Presumably in oil. Certainly going to need a frame on this (the heat has warped the sheet already). Looking forward to seeing how this goes. If I hadn't slashed my hand open with in minutes of being in the shop maybe I'd have stuck around longer and started my other pieces.

Aiming to have 4 of these? We'll see.
